Equity and diversity
When students learn in environments that value equitable access, diverse perspectives, and inclusive practices, they develop stronger communication skills, greater cultural humility, and a deeper understanding of how social and structural factors influence health outcomes. Inclusive learning envirments reduce bias, foster belonging, and support under‑represented learners, ultimately leading to better patient care. Clinicians trained in inclusive settings are more prepared to recognise disparities, challenge inequities, and build trust with the populations they serve.
We are able to support you with:
- Developing bespoke individual training related to Active Bystander and Microaggression Awareness Skills
- Faculty development workshops focusing on integrating the principles of inclusive practice through modules or full programmes
- Critical-friend review of your learning environments and their impact on your learners
- Feasibility reviews of implementing inclusive assessment practices within your programmes
We are experienced facilitators who work regularly in the field of equity, diversity and inclusion. We are clear that meaningful EDI work does not involve “off the shelf” solutions: true inclusion comes from recognising that local solutions will be needed to address local challenges. We have previously worked with a broad range of UK and international institutions in this area, including undergraduate schools, postgraduate programmes and medical royal colleges and providing advisory and educational support services to develop tailored support related to equality, diversity and inclusion.
